Sewing: Common Clothing Repairs and Fixes
Saturday, January 21 from 2pm-4pm (Silver Spring, Maryland)
Look in your closet, and it's likely that you have that one piece of clothing with an imperfection, hole, or it just doesn't fit right. Cheap clothing is ubiquitous, and rapidly changing fashion trends makes it tempting to forgo what you have for new clothes. In this class, Allie Miller '11 will help walk you though simple ways to mend and fix clothes yourself and become the sewing weekend-warrior you know you are. During this class, we'll walk through handy tools, the basics of machine and hand sewing, and common sewing repairs for clothes. Have a specific garment you want help on? Feel free to bring it with you for some advice! Allie is a self-taught sewing hobbyist and fashion lover. This class is best suited for those brand new or novice to sewing.
