About MHC DC

The Mount Holyoke Club of DC serves Alums in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. Each year, our volunteer board holds annual events like Mountain Day ice cream socials across the DMV and The Mary Lyon Dinner. We also host one-time events such as speaker panels and social activities. Our hope is that the club can serve as a space for you to connect with other MHC graduates, help you build your network, and enrich your life in the DMV area. We are so glad you are here and can’t wait to connect with you!

Book Talks with Alum Rebecca Brenner Graham

Join MHC Alum Rebecca Brennan Graham as she celebrates the release of her new book, Dear Miss Perkins: A Story of Frances Perkins’s Efforts to Aid Refugees from Nazi Germany. Kick off the book tour with an event at Politics and Prose on January 25, followed by a conversation at the Whittemore House on January 28 and the DACOR Bacon House on January 29. Can’t make these sessions? Rebecca returns to DC on March 27 with a talk at the National Archives.

Rebecca is a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University. Previously, she taught at the Madeira School and American University. She has a PhD in history and MA in public history from American University and a BA in history and philosophy from Mount Holyoke College.
